NETSKY
Boris Daenen, known as Netsky, is a renowned DJ and producer who effortlessly captivates crowds at major music festivals and excels in the studio. His global appeal has led him to perform at renowned events like Coachella and Glastonbury. In 2017, he curated and hosted his own stage at Tomorrowland while headlining the festival’s main stage. Netsky boasts a dedicated global fanbase and has received numerous awards, including the Flemish Culture Award for Music and the highest ranking Drum & Bass DJ in DJ Mag’s Top 100. With four successful studio albums and notable remixes for artists like Dua Lipa and Ed Sheeran, Netsky signed with Republic Records in 2018. Collaborating with hitmaker producers Stargate, he released tracks with David Guetta, Bazzi, Lil Wayne, and Aloe Blacc. In 2020, he made a triumphant return to Hospital Records with his fourth studio album, ‘Second Nature,’ which garnered critical acclaim. Netsky’s Glasshouse arena tour in New Zealand attracted over 60,000 attendees, and he recently collaborated with Rita Ora on the hit single ‘Barricades’ as part of a new partnership with Helix Records.
THE PROTOTYPES
The Prototypes is a British drum and bass duo comprising Chris Garvey and Nick White. Formed in Brighton in the late 2000s, they quickly gained attention with singles on labels like Formation Records and Viper Recordings.
Their track “Pale Blue Dot” became the second best-selling drum and bass track of the year on Beatport and received a nomination for Best Track at the Drum & Bass Arena Awards. The duo released their debut album, “City of Gold,” in 2015, which reached No. 22 on the UK Dance Chart.
Chris and Nick are no strangers to playing international tours, performing at festivals like Urban Art Forms and Tomorrowland. They have also remixed tracks for notable artists such as Avicii, Ed Sheeran, and Modestep.
After not playing in Bristol for a few years, we are excited to welcome The Prototypes to the infamous Lakota Gardens Stage for a Bank holiday celebration of all things bass.
